Old Priorians Saints ended their season with a loss to London Japanese, playing the fixture under Game on principles in biblical conditions.
Reduced to limited numbers, the Saints went behind almost immediately from kickoff, followed by a flurry of Japanese tries who raised into a commanding lead within the opening ten minutes.
OPs did well when they were able to gain possession, a David Jobling try their due reward after fine breaks from both Samuel Green and Jordan Porteous to set up the score, which went unconverted.
London Japanese continued to spread the ball wide and capitalise on their numerical advantage to go over eight times across the afternoon, before Jobling secured his second after a tap and go in the 22, Coel Ellis stepping up to successfully kick the conversion.
Despite having only reached the 40 minute mark, both sides agreed to end the game, given both the scoreline and the persistent hail.
The Saints end the season in seventh, following a difficult second half of the campaign, while London Japanese will contest the Middlesex Merit Table Division 1 playoffs.
